kick some goals!

No, we are not making a football reference (though the season is coming up mighty quick...). If you set a 2012 goal to get running, finish a fun run or get fit, here is your chance. The Gold Coast Marathon weekend which has events including a 5km, 10km, Half and Full Marathon is on the 30 June/1 July (5, 10km events on Sat and Half and Full Marathon on the Sunday). The event entries open today and Buzz has just submitted its team entry papers! That means when you enter using our special team entry code (which we're still waiting on!) you can be part of our running team! We will keep you posted as soon as we hear what our code is and any extra details but if you're interested in any of those events, please drop us an email (buzz.bne@gmail.com) and we will keep you in the loop. The team is not limited to those who Buzz regularly, so please feel free to pass on to anyone you think might want to do Gold Coast as part of our team!
In other news, we finished up our Feb collection for Qld Mental Illness Fellowship with a donation of $64! Thanks to all those who run, walk and ride with us each week and make these little collections possible. This month we have been collecting for Beyond Blue who particularly support and campaign to beat depression and anxiety. Check them out or come along on Tuesday evenings at 6pm or Fridays at 6am to get your heart rate going (that helps to beat depression too!) and part with $2 for the cause!
